Technology integration

Ultrasonic Welding

We have extensive experience with ultrasonic welders as a large number of our systems incorporate this technology.


We have experience dispensing a wide variety of products, everything from low viscosity adhesives to high viscosity pastes and greases. The types of technology include:

  • Positive displacement dispense
  • Time-pressure dispense

Part Feeding

We have extensive experience integrating third party feeders as well as developing our own. Typical part feeding technology includes:

Applications include continuous feed or batch processing and use a variety of technologies including:

  • UV
  • IR
  • Convection

Surface Treatment

Critical surfaces are often treated with corona or plasma to improve bonding of inks, coatings and adhesives. These systems have been integrated in discrete processing as well as continuous web systems.

Printing and Labeling

Most life science products require some sort of identification and lot/expiry information. We can provide many different ways of supporting this, whether it’s applying pre-printed labels, online print and apply, laser marking, or ink jet printing—we’ve done it all.


The pressing applications we use range from multi-ton hydraulic presses, simple pneumatic presses to highly controllable servo pressing units


ATS has developed and integrated complex molds with in-cavity sensing to confirm correct processes, adjust viscosity, balance cavities, and reject parts at mold opening. High cavitation, runner/gate technology, mold-side automation for overmolding, inspection, assembly and packaging are some of the injection molding related activities with which we have experience.

Custom technology solutions

We have developed relationships with best-in-class suppliers across virtually all technologies. 

We've also developed our own technology when the requirements fall outside of commercial offerings.
