MARCO Limited was established in 1985, and today has approximately 70 employees, the majority of whom work at its headquarters in Edenbridge, United Kingdom.

MARCO offers innovative hardware and software solutions that provide control from the arrival of the raw material to the dispatch of the packed product within the business’ operations. Based on the MARCO Trac-IT® suite of products, these yield control systems offer weighing-centric controls and are designed to maximize productivity, minimize over-pack, monitor operator performance, identify unaccountable losses and ensure pack consistency. MARCO’s systems provide IIoT-enabled smart factory capability through real time reporting, allowing customers to make informed decisions about all aspects of their facility. MARCO's installations range from standalone hardware applications to factory-wide Manufacturing Execution Systems. MARCO's products have been installed in 43 countries within the food, nutraceutical, and cosmetics industries.

Comecer was established in 1974 with its main production site and research and development centre located in Castel-Bolognese, Italy. Comecer also has a technical and assembly centre in Joure, Netherlands, and sales and service offices in North America, Europe and Asia.

Comecer’s serves the radiopharmaceutical market, where it supplies specialized radiation shielding systems used by customers in the production, handling, and dispensing of radiopharmaceutical drugs. Applications for this type of equipment include the diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of a number of conditions including various forms of cancer and cardiovascular disorders. Comecer also provides equipment to support the aseptic processing, filling and handling of specialized pharmaceuticals as well as isolator and incubator equipment used in advanced therapy medicinal production (ATMP), a regenerative cell therapy that uses patient cells to grow new tissues.

Established in 1993 and headquartered in Koblenz, Germany, KMW offers complete custom micro-assembly machines and solutions; clamps and tooling; and in-process test systems.

Micro-assembly systems are critical elements in the assembly of various components used in electric vehicles, including motors, power storage systems, braking, steering, and electronic modules. KMW provides ATS with an internal source for complimentary conveyorized micro-assembly and test capabilities, enabling full automation solutions to meet customer demands for a complete turnkey offering.

Founded in 1986, M+W Process Automation (PA) is a leading independent supplier of automation solutions for the chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive and other industries. It has built a presence in 16 countries with a network of 51 offices with expertise in system engineering, integration, lifecycle management, process control and manufacturing execution systems, as well as main automation contractor (“MAC”).

By combining the flexibility of a medium-sized company with the capabilities of a large enterprise, PA meets the needs of both large projects and small automation tasks.

Established 120 years ago, IWK is a leader in technology driven high-performance tube filling and cartoning machinery for the pharmaceutical and personal care industries.  The acquisition of IWK in October 2013, aligns with ATS’ strategy of scaling its leading position in the global automation market and enhances growth opportunities, particularly in strategic customer segments and with technology leadership.  

IWK brings new relationships with key pharmaceutical and personal care customers and adds core capability on primary packaging (tube fillers) and secondary packaging (cartoners) which we expect can be leveraged into other markets ATS serves.
