DNA Microarrays

We offer proven stand alone automation capability in bio-sensors, biofluidics, and the assembly of DNA microarrays for gene expression monitoring, proteomics and pharmacogenomics.

Key TeChnology

We have built high-accuracy dispensing systems for DNA microarrays used for genetic testing against DNA assay solutions. Some of the core technologies used in this equipment include:

  • High accuracy servo systems
  • High accuracy vision systems
  • Dynamic recipe management and real-time process control sequencing
  • Extensive automation of fluidics control
  • Equipment design for high humidity environment 

CONTROLS

These systems are typically governed by a comprehensive, recipe-driven, controller with: 

  • Recipe creation and management through a Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Data logging/Batch Control
  • Barcode tracking of input materials

FLUIDICS CONTROL

An integrated fluidics system can be part of the equipment where the operator replenishes materials at regular intervals.The system may include the following fully automated components:

  • Ultrasonic cleaning
  • High-flow ethanol wash system
  • Precise vacuum drying system
  • Fluid storage tanks
  • Vacuum tanks connected to plant vacuum
  • Waste tank routed to facility waste
  • Peristaltic pumps
  • Air flow monitoring
  • Humidity monitoring
  • Tank level sensing

Fluids handled in the systems include:

  • Deionized Water – Piped from plant DI source
  • Ethanol-Water Solution
  • VP 110 Cleaning Solution
  • RBS 35 Concentrate Solution

ENVIRONMENT

We have design capabilities to operate under a high humidity environment with the necessary materials of construction and finishes for long term durability.
