Based on a production-proven ATS platform, the ATS Lyoscan™ is a high-performance vision inspection system for lyophilized products and vials from 3mL to 30mL. It provides customers with a reliable, high-speed, single-pass in-line alternative to conventional manual inspection processes.

Utilizing state-of-the-art vision lighting, cameras and our own open-architecture software, the Lyoscan™ surpasses the capabilities of systems currently available on the market, to offer new possibilities for inspection and quality control, such as spotting contaminants on a lyo surface, or spotting discoloration in a translucent liquid.

Vials are positively indexed in two successive turrets while cameras inspect the stopper, cap, body and contents up to 400 units per minute. The vision system can identify 17 faults in the product and the vial. Rejected items are categorized for further disposition. Windows™-compatible process control provides fault-trending data for improved management of the upstream processes, with 21 CFR Part 11 compliant data handling and record archiving.
